RMLHS Dinner Theater

Next week Friday May 13: Dinner Theater-  Please join us as our drama club presents “Dead Men Don’t Need Dress Rehearsals”.  The evening begins at 6:30 with dinner at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  Chicken Cordon Bleu, rice, and green beans will be served along with salad and desert.  Tickets are $10/adult and $7/student (payable at the door).  Please RSVP by calling the office so we can prepare enough food. We need to know no later than Monday, May 9th.  Thank you!

Upcoming Events: Week of May 1

Last week brought the end of baseball season- congratulations to the boys on a great season!  The Eagles posted their best season baseball record!! This week will bring our soccer season to a close as well.  Monday the girls play at home against Liberty Commons HS, the game will begin at 4:00pm.  On Wednesday, the Lady Eagles play Estes Park at home at 4:00pm.  And on Thursday, the team plays at Valley High School beginning at 4:00.  The directions to Valley are listed below.

On Friday, we will have our Spring Awards night.  Awards to be handed out will include: Spring Athletics: Girls Soccer, Boys Baseball and Fine Arts: Drama, Music- Eagle Choir. Special Award for Senior Athletes, Drama and Musicians will also be presented at this time.  The booster club will kick off the evening with ice cream floats at 6:15.  The awards will be presented in the gym beginning shortly after 6:30.

This Week at RMLHS

I hope that your Easter weekend was restful!  Today both the soccer and baseball teams will be playing.  The girls play CCS @ 4:00pm at Northwest Open Space- this is their home game and we will be playing on the larger field where we played last year.  The baseball team will travel to Colorado Springs to play Pikes Peak Christian at 4:00.  The field is located at their school and the directions are found below.  Because both teams will be gone at the end of the day we will run an early dismissal schedule and classes will be dismissed at 3:00pm.

On Thursday the soccer team plays Mead at home beginning at 4:00pm.  On Friday, our baseball team plays their last games of the season against Cornerstone Christian at Northwest Open Space- this is a double header and the games will be played at 3:00 and 5:00pm.
A reminder that practical arts begins this week on Thursday and Friday in the mornings and Prom will be held this Saturday at Fat Cats for the Juniors and Seniors.  Blessings on your week!

Upcoming events

Today, the boys baseball team will play CCS at home beginning at 4:00pm. On Tuesday, the soccer team plays 
Arrupe Jesuit at home @ 4:00pm. The soccer game that was cancelled last week has been rescheduled for 
Wednesday May 4 at 4:00. The Eagle choir will be leaving from Lord of Life on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 for 
worship in Pueblo and Colorado Springs. 

A reminder that there is no school Thursday-Monday(April 21-25) for Easter Break. Easter Blessings!

Date Changes

There has been a change in dates for our Spring Awards Night and the Kickball/Play day:

The Spring Awards will be held on Friday, May 6th, beginning at 6:15 p.m. with an ice cream social.  We will have some Booster Club updates prior to the awards, so all parents are invited to come.

The Kickball & Play day will be held on Friday, May 13th during the day.  We will also be presenting the play that evening as a Dinner Theatre Event.  The Drama team will be presenting “Dead Men Don’t Need Dress Rehearsals.”  We will have a 3 course meal beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. The cost is $10 per person, $7 under 12, and $5 for those who wish to skip dinner and see only the play.  Please call the school at 303-346-1947 to RSVP (please pay at the door).  We will need a count for dinner by May 9th.

4th Annual Motorcycle Ride This year’s motorcycle ride will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Grab your helmet and come along as Josh Glowicki takes riders on a scenic tour. Cost for the ride is $60.00 .

On Sunday, August 21st meet us at Coors Field for Faith Day At the Rockies Tickets are $18.00 and includes the ball game, a post-game Christian artist concert plus a $5.00 donation to The Solid Education Foundation!

This week will again prove to be full of activities!  Come on out to cheer on the Eagles!  Today the baseball team plays at Elbert.  The game begins at 5:00.  On Tuesday, the soccer team plays at Mile High Academy.  The game will begin at 5:30, this is different then scheduled in order to get officials for the game.  The game will be played at their school, the directions are found below.  On Thursday, The soccer team takes on Estes Park at home beginning at 4:00.  On Friday, the baseball team plays Pikes Peak Christian at home.  The game begins at 4:00.  The girls will also play soccer against Hyland Christian on Friday.  This game has been added and was not on the original schedule.  The game begins at 4:00 and will be played at Broomfield Commons-see directions below.

Thanks to all that helped with the garage sale and to those who donated items!  The sale raised over $1700!  These funds will go to tuition assistance and the Booster Club.  Start saving for your unwanted items for next years sale! Blessings on the busy week ahead!

This Week At RMLHS

This week includes a full slate of games. Today the baseball team plays Denver Jewish Day School at home 
beginning at 4:00. On Tuesday, the soccer team will play Longmont Christian at home at 4:00. On Thursday, the 
soccer team plays Cornerstone Christian at Broomfield Commons at 4:00, directions are listed below. On Friday, 
both teams play at home with games beginning at 4:00. The boys play Clear Creek and the girls play Berthoud. 

A reminder that our garage sale is taking place on Friday and Saturday. We will be accepting donations starting on 
Saturday, April 2nd and going through Wednesday, April 6th at Mr. Lohmiller’s house or if you have smaller items 
you can bring them to school. Please call him at 303-452-4187 to arrange a drop-off time some time during the 
day on the 2nd and 3rd or during the evening on the 4th, 5th, or 6th. We need lots of help with prep and set up 
on Wednesday and Thursday during the day, as well as help on Saturday and clean up. If you would be interested 
in helping, please speak with Barbie Campbell (303-457-9983) or Mary Peterson (720-255-2248 or 303-910-2891). 
If you are donating items and are able to price your own stuff that would help tremendously. Finally if you have any 
plastic bags that can be used for the sale please bring them as well.

Gala Wrap-Up

Thank you so much for coming to our First Annual Gala and Dinner Auction. The evening was full of fellowship and fun! We had close to 200 guests attending the event. The dinner and auction raised $17,420. There were additional donations to our building fund in the amount of $10,997. Thrivent matching funds will contribute $4300. This gives us a total of $32,717 to be added to our building fund, bringing that amount close to the $100,000 mark! To God Be Praise!
