Eye Appointments

Lin Birkholz, mother of sophomore Maggie, is employed at the Colorado Eye Center located at 12450 York Street in Thornton. She is allowed to extend a friends/family discount to her acquaintances that do not have vision coverage, using vouchers she has.

Her office does complete eye health exams as well as exams for glasses and contact lenses. Fees for these exams normally cost $173 plus fees for fitting of contact lens. Those fees can cost another $60 - $115.

If you would like to use one of the vouchers, your eye exam would cost $68 for glasses and $99 for contacts. If you purchase glasses or contacts they could be purchased at cost plus 20%. This is in lieu of any vision insurance.

If you are interested, contact Lin at one of these phone numbers:

Home – 303-252-8546

Work – 303-452-2020

Cell – 303-656-7657

Lin is responsible for scheduling, so could get you in for an appointment before December 31.

Parent Teacher Conferences

The Board of Directors set aside special times this Thursday and Friday for parents and teachers to meet about a student’s progress through the first quarter of the school year.  There are no specific scheduled times, but rather two blocks of time for you to meet with teachers.  The first block is from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 and the second from 9:00 a.m. - noon on Friday, October 21.  These meetings allow the two groups to whom God has given the responsibility of training these children, the opportunity to talk and make plans on how to help the student make the best use of their God-given talents.  You may access your child’s grades by going to your PowerSchool account.  The faculty looks forward to seeing you this Thursday or Friday.

Fr. & So. PT Conferences

Freshmen and Sophomore Parents
Mrs. Boniek teaches in Boulder in the evenings all will not be able to be at the school during the Thursday evening conferences.  She will be available for conferences on Friday morning, during the conference times.  Please, also, feel free to contact her at any point to discuss your child’s progress in Concert Choir or Piano, on her cell phone-303-618-9550.

Phone Tree Test

Next Wednesday, 14 September 2011, at 8:00 pm, we would like to run a test of our Phone Tree. This automated phone messaging system allows RMLHS to communicate last minute information, such as snow days or schedule changes, quickly to parents.

Parents:
If you receive a phone call near 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the correct phone(s), home and/or cell, the Phone Tree works for you and you need to do nothing further. If you do not receive a phone call near 8:00 pm on Wednesday, or the call came to the wrong phone, or you would like to add a phone number to our list, please call (303/346-1947) or e-mail (secretary@rmlhs.org) the school to correct your contact information.
