College Visits

Concordia, Portland will have a representative in school on Friday, Oct. 8th. He will be speaking with juniors and seniors in the first hour class slot. Bethany Lutheran College from Mankato, MN, will visit on Wednesday, October 27th.

Martin Luther College Visits

Pastor Ross Stelljes will visit the RMLHS campus on Thursday, October 7th. He is a recruitment official from Martin Luther College and speaks to our students about considering the public teaching or preaching ministries.

Fall Teacher’s Conference

There have been questions about the Fall Teacher’s Conference. The high school will not be attending the teacher’s conference in South Dakota. We are having our own faculty in-services, so we do have school on Wednesday, October 6th. This is a change from an original calendar found on the website, but is on the current calendar. There are no sports practices on Monday and Tuesday.

My Big Fat Lutheran Wedding

We have no idea who is getting married; we do not care!  It’s a fundraising wedding reception and we want you there!  Shepherd of the Valley invites you to join us at Lord of Life Lutheran Church for an evening of food, dancing, fellowship, and a wedding gift silent auction; you’ll never know what you’re going to get!

A portion of monies raised will be given to Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School.

Suggested donation: Family - $20, Couples - $10, Individuals - $5

Dress the part: Wear your best or worst wedding attire.  Prizes for best dressed will be given!

Athletics this Week - Think Pink!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our teams during our homecoming week!  The week ahead looks to be busy for all!  Our football team faces off against Faith Baptist next Saturday.  The game begins at 1:00 PM at Faith Baptist in Longmont!

The volleyball team will play Denver Jewish Day School at home tomorrow.  The game times are as follows: MSB- 4:00, MSA- 5:00, JV- 6:00, V- 7:00.  On Wednesday, September 29th, the teams will travel to Front Range Christian School in Littleton, game times: MSB- 4:00, MSA- 5:00, JV- 6:00, V- 7:00.  Directions are found below.  On Friday October 1st, our teams will play Jim Elliot in a “pink match” - see below.  The game times are as follows:  JV- 4:00, V- 5:00, MSB- 6:30, MSA- 7:30.  Finally on Saturday the JV team has a tournament at CCS.  Their first match begins at 9:00 AM, the schedule for the day is attached.
THINK PINK: On Friday October 1st, Rocky Mountain Lutheran in partnership with CHSAA will dedicated the volleyball games to Breast Cancer awareness.   The teams will warm-up in pink shirts with pink volleyballs.  Free will donations will be collected and the pink balls we warm up with will be sold.  All proceeds raised from this evening will go to our middle school volleyball coach Shannon Sievert.  Shannon was diagnosed with Breast Cancer about 6 months ago and since has undergone many treatments.  We encourage you to come out wearing pink!  Hope to see you there!

New Policies for Gym

We have been informed by Building Management that we are no longer able to bring food or drink into the gymnasium. Any sack lunches brought must be eaten outside the gym. Water is allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Happy Homecoming!

During this week homecoming festivities will take place! Throughout the week students will participate in powder 
puff football, he-man volleyball, and class competitions. This week always proves to be a lot of fun! Our volleyball 
team plays home matches on Tuesday and Friday. Tuesday evening, the Lady Eagles play against Eagle Ridge 
Academy- the JV at 6:00 and the Varsity at 7:00. Our homecoming match will be played on Friday night against 
Shining Mountain, JV at 5:00 and V at 6:00. Following the games, our annual pep rally will take place - each class 
has prepared a lip sync, we will hear from each of our teams, and listen to the Eagle pep band! On Saturday, we 
hope you can join us for our homecoming football game against Kiowa at 2:00. A reminder that the Booster Club 
is hosting a Booster Feed prior to the game from 11:30-1:30! The Feed and football game will be played at Wyco 
Park located right behind the high School. So come out and join us for some fun, fellowship and football! The 
homecoming dance will take place on Saturday evening from 8-11 PM. God’s Blessings on your week!

RMLHS Homecoming- Booster Club Feed!

On Saturday September 25, join us for a Booster Feed followed by our homecoming football game against Kiowa.  The Booster Club feed and game will be held at Wyco Park, located directly behind RMLHS.  The meal will begin at 11:30 and conclude at 1:30.  A free-will donation will be collected to help the Booster Club fund wish list items for the upcoming school year.  The football game begins at 2:00.  Come to support the Eagles and join in some fun and fellowship!  We would love to see you there!  If you would like to help with preparing the meal (grilling, setup, etc) please let Jenn Schneider know (jschneider@rmoms.net).

Athletics This Week

Congratulations to the Lady Eagles varsity volleyball team!  On Friday, the girls competed in the Campion Invitational Tournament and finished with a first place finish!  The girls went undefeated winning all 5 of their matches!  Games continue this week on Tuesday, with home matches against Cornerstone Christian Academy and Excelsior.  The middle school teams play at 4:00 & 5:00 against CCA.  The JV team will play Excelsior at 6:00, followed by the Varsity game against CCA at 7:00.  On Thursday, the JV team plays in Fort Collins against Liberty Commons at 4:00, and the Varsity plays Hyland Christian at home at 5:00.   We hope to see you at the games!

The Eagles football team is off this week.  We enjoyed our first home game experience behind the school!  Thanks to all who came out to support our team!  We look forward to our Homecoming game against Kiowa on September 25th.

College Fair

Parents and students in the sophomore, junior and senior classes might wish to attend a large college fair held at Cherry Creek High School on October 9th.  Representatives from approximately 300 colleges from around the country are in attendance.  The fair begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until 2:00 p.m.  The high school is located at 9300 East Union Avenue in Englewood.
