To: Returning Juniors and Seniors in Spanish II, III together with their parents.

Dear Students and Parents:

I’m writing to congratulate you on a wonderful school year, and to ask God’s blessings on your summer plans. Also, I’m writing to encourage you to consider keeping in your minds the plans of serving, sight-seeing, growing in the Spanish language with a service trip to Mexico in the summer of 2011.

This is a good time to remind you since many of you will be earning and saving your dollars and cents this coming summer, and perhaps you can begin to set aside a bit to put forward for the trip next summer.

Upon arrival back to school in August, we will begin to plan a Mexican Fiesta evening celebrating the 16th of September, the Mexican Independence Day, and inviting our federation congregations together with our school family to attend and learn about Mexican culture as well as asking them to aid our travel costs the following summer.

In the meantime, if there are ideas that you might have regarding the raising of funds for our trip, I am all ears.

I’m excited that this might be a possibility yearly for the students of our Spanish program at RMLHS. I hope and pray that you are as well! God’s richest blessings of protection, preservation, and spiritual growth over the summer months!

With love in Christ,

Pastor Walta

Cans of Spray Paint Needed

If you have any cans of spray paint (new or old) laying around and are willing to donate them, please contact Mrs. Poetter kpoetter@rmlhs.org, or simply send them with your kids to school.

We will be using this paint for artwork displayed during the Prism Concert. We can use any color you might have. Please send them in no later than Tuesday, May 18 so we can assess how many more cans we may need to purchase.

Thank you for your help.

Prism Night Cleanup and Graduation Setup

After the end of the Prism concert, there is a huge amount of work to be done, to clean up and reconfigure the gym for graduation. The Prism Concert is a great – all-school event and we have a super program in the works. Please email Laura Boniek (lrboniek@juno.com) if you are able to help Friday night after the concert.
